Purchasing process

Fitfindery wants to enable you to sell discarded sportswear quickly, easily and conveniently. With Fitfindery you save time and hassle compared to selling your goods on private classifieds portals.

Send us your sportswear and, after successfully checking the quality and condition of your items, you will receive a final price offer from Fitfindery. If you agree to the price offered, you will receive your money immediately.
The Fitfindery team then takes care of the professional resale in the online shop.

That's how it works:

Step 1: Use the Fitfindery purchase calculator to have your discarded sportswear provisionally valued. Save the items you want to send to Fitfindery for purchase on your wish list. You can then send your wish list to Fitfindery using the purchase form .

It's best to create a Fitfindery customer account (if you don't already have one) and enter your payment details there so that we can easily transfer your money to you later.

Step 2: We will make the items from your purchase form visible to you as a preliminary* purchase offer in your Fitfindery customer account under "Orders".

*Please note that a binding price offer can only be made once we have received your sportswear and have checked its quality and condition.
If your selection of brand, product category and condition in the purchase calculator accurately describes the product, the final price offer will be within the range calculated there.

Step 3: We will also send you an email that you can use to create a shipping label to Fitfindery at your own expense**. Please send your goods well packaged using this DHL label.

**We will offset the shipping costs you pay with a 10% voucher for the Fitfindery online shop. You will receive the voucher code via email as soon as your shipment has been sent.

Step 4: After receiving your package, we check its contents for quality and condition. You can then view our binding purchase offer for your goods (adjusted to condition, category, model or currentness if necessary) in your customer account.

Step 5:
Are you satisfied with the price offered by Fitfindery? Then confirm your sale to Fitfindery within 7 days*** of receiving the final purchase offer using the link in the email you receive.

If you do not agree with the price offered, you can request a return for one or more items using the button of the same name in the final purchase offer.
We charge you 5.49€ for return shipping.

***If we do not receive a response from you within 7 days of approval of the final offer, we will consider this as consent to the purchase conditions we have specified.

If the goods you have submitted are defective and, in our opinion, unsellable or do not fit into the Fitfindery product range, you will be informed and can request a return within 7 days. In this case, you will also be responsible for the return shipping costs. If we have not received a return request from you after 7 days, we reserve the right to donate or dispose of the goods.

Step 6: Use the withdrawal form to tell us your preferred withdrawal method (PayPal/bank transfer). We will then transfer your money to you using your preferred payment method.

Step 7: The Fitfindery team now takes care of the sale of the goods and publishes them for sale in the online shop.

Purchasing criteria & quality standards

Condition: Fitfindery only offers and purchases sportswear that we would also buy and wear ourselves from a visual, hygienic and quality perspective.

Accordingly, only items that are free from damage, stains or signs of wear will be accepted.

The purchase calculator gives you three options to assess the condition of your discarded sportswear:

  • New with tag: new and unworn clothing with original sales tag
  • Very good: Excellently preserved goods without optical or functional defects
  • Good: Product with minimal, barely visible cosmetic defects that do not, however, limit the functionality (affected area < 2x2cm, e.g. pilling, defects in the fabric or seam).

Brand and quality: We value high-quality brands. Therefore, we only purchase products whose brand quality we ourselves are convinced of.

Cleanliness and hygiene: Of course, Fitfindery only offers and buys sportswear that has been thoroughly cleaned and is in very good hygienic condition.

Relevance and style: The relevance of the design and style of your sportswear can play a role in the purchase of your discarded items. We reserve the right to reject goods that are too out of date and to return them to you or, at your request, donate them.

What items can I sell to Fitfindery?

You can sell used branded sportswear for men and women to Fitfindery that is in at least good condition (minimal, barely visible and non-functional blemishes). The items must be washed/cleaned and meet our quality standards (see "Purchasing criteria & quality standards" above)

Please only send items to Fitfindery that you would also like to purchase yourself.

All product types from the sportswear and sporty leisurewear sector that are available for selection in the purchase calculator are accepted.

  • Sportswear in the narrower sense (shirts, pants, tops, sports bras, sweaters, jackets, vests, leggings, etc.)
  • Sports accessories (e.g. hats, sports glasses, gloves, cycling overshoes)
  • Only visibly unworn and with label or original packaging: shoes, underwear, socks

We only purchase branded goods. Please note our brand register or the selection options in the purchase calculator.

If a product type or brand is not listed in the purchase calculator, please contact us using the form at the bottom of the page. We will then check whether we can add it to our catalog.

Which items can I not sell to Fitfindery?

We do not accept items that are heavily worn, damaged or counterfeit . We also do not purchase sports equipment or items outside of the sportswear and athletic casual wear categories .

We will return items rejected by Fitfindery (due to condition, inappropriate category, unlisted brand or lack of prior registration via the purchase form) to you at our own expense of 10€ for return shipping and reimbursement of expenses.

In what condition should the goods be that I want to sell to Fitfindery?

Basically, only send items to Fitfindery that you would still buy/wear yourself in terms of condition and hygiene.

When will I receive the money for my goods sold to Fitfindery?

After you have agreed to the final purchase offer from Fitfindery, you will be asked by email to send Fitfindery your desired payment method. Once we have received your payment details, you can expect the transfer within 7 days.

What happens if I do not agree with the final purchase offer?

After receiving the final purchase offer, you have 7 days in your customer account to withdraw one or more items from the purchase if you are dissatisfied with the price offer. To do so, simply click on the item in question > "Request return".

We will send back any items requested for return to you at our own expense. The shipping label for the return will be charged to your customer account. As soon as you have cleared the shipping, we will send the goods back to you as requested.

Can I send my items to Fitfindery for purchase free of charge?

You are responsible for the shipping costs of your discarded sportswear to Fitfindery. In return, we will give you a 10% voucher for our shop as soon as your shipment has been sent to Fitfindery.

There are no additional costs for you when selling in our online shop through Fitfindery.

Will I incur any costs when I sell my items through Fitfindery?

The resale of your goods through Fitfindery is free of charge for you.

What is the benefit for me if I sell to Fitfindery?

Selling your discarded sportswear to Fitfindery will result in immediate payment as soon as you agree to the final purchase offer. This way, you create space in your wardrobe and save time and stress compared to private sales on classifieds portals.

Fitfindery takes care of the professional resale for you free of charge.

You also promote environmentally conscious consumption in the area of ​​sports fashion and use your items to further expand Fitfindery's online catalog. We are working together with the sports-loving Fitfindery community on a one-stop online shop for convenient shopping for second-hand branded sportswear.

How long do I have to send my sportswear to Fitfindery?

By sending the purchase request to Fitfindery, you are not obliged to initiate your sale in terms of time. You can take your time to consider whether and when you want to make the sale.

After you have sent your purchase request to Fitfindery using the purchase form, we will create a preliminary and non-binding purchase overview in your customer account. You will also receive an email that you can use to create a shipping label to Fitfindery.

How long do I have to respond to the final purchase offer?

You have 7 days after receiving the final purchase offer to request the return of the items if you do not agree with the final price offer from Fitfindery.

After the 7 days have expired, we will consider a lack of response from you as consent to sell to Fitfindery under the conditions stated in the customer account (updated if necessary).

We will then transfer to you the money for the items that have not been requested for return by then.

Can I send my discarded sportswear to Fitfindery without having marked this on the purchase form?

No, please report every sale to Fitfindery using the purchase form.

Unfortunately, we have to reject items that have not been registered in advance and send them back to you at our own expense of 10€ for return shipping and reimbursement of expenses.

Does Fitfindery also purchase goods that are not sportswear?

No, we only purchase items from the sportswear or sporty leisurewear category from listed brands (see "Purchasing criteria & quality standards" above).

Unfortunately, we have to reject items that do not fall into any of these categories and send them back to you at our own expense of €10 for return shipping and reimbursement of expenses.

I want to sell sportswear to Fitfindery, but I can't find a suitable category or brand in the purchase calculator. Can I still send it in for purchase?

We are happy to expand our product/brand range if it fits into the Fitfindery concept. If you would like to sell an item to Fitfindery for which you cannot select a suitable category or brand in the purchase calculator, please contact us using the contact form and tell us your suggestions for additions.

Why can I only sell sports shoes to Fitfindery if they are new with tags?

Fitfindery only wants to sell goods that are still in perfect condition, both visually and functionally. For clothing and other categories, we can check more easily than for shoes whether the goods meet our requirements.
With shoes, however, we have no way of reliably checking whether, for example, the cushioning of the sole is still good.
